Its the epic tale untold. Like many ancient cultures who used caves to depict entire stories of their lives and battles this painting depicts a epic tale which I like to sum up the word, “Process”
Starting from the right you see the Tree of Revelation painted in blue for revelation and purple for royalty you can see an infant butterly army awaiting to be released from their holding spots ready for the day that the pink butterfly which is sitting on the right hand most limb that is shaped as a hand that is pointing to the window at the very left hand side of the painting.
There it is the day that the pink butterfly is waiting for. The day that it will go its way into the atmosphere. There it swings into motion up and around, whirling, twirling, circling.
As I painted this peice I always thought in the back of my mind that this peice was depicting different butterflies that were in different locations, different positions, in different swirls of color. However, after meditating on the peice I realized that this was indeed the same butterfly that started off from the tree limb shaped like a hand and finger pointing out.
Ultimately I realized that this very small fragile butterfly had changed colors, changed the different colored streaks that it left behind as it swirled, and progressed ultimately to the right hand corner of the painting- which is the most exciting.
The right hand corner of the painting depicts a window of an upgrade. Graham Cooke had a fantastic sermon on asking for upgrades in the natrual realm and spiritual realm. He challenged us as his audience to refuse sitting in the same rut, but continuing to press into the Lord for an “upgrade” a deeper revelation of who God is, what he is doing, how to pray what he is praying, how to move like he is moving, how to see like he sees.
